List of Top Snack Credit uses at Disney World

We love the Disney Dining Plan at my house.  For those of you that don’t know much about me, I graduated college with a degree in Statistics (yes, I am a nerd).  I completely nerd out over anything number related….No joke!  So, the Disney Dining Plan is like a fun game to me.  I try to find some of the best uses for various credits to ensure that I have maximized it.  I wanted to share some of my favorites and tips to help you too.

When do I start planning a trip to Disney World?

This is one of the most common questions I get and my answer is always the same: Now.  I know that sounds crazy, but it is true.  If you are thinking about going to Disney World, it is never too early to start planning, but there are some key days to keep in mind:

    • 499 days prior to check-in – This is the earliest you can make a room reservation.
    • 180 days prior to check-in – This is when dining reservations can be made and for those high demand dining reservations, it is important to make them this far in advance. Seriously.
    • 60 days prior to check-in – This is when you can make your FastPass+ reservations.  This is a huge advantage of staying at a Disney Resort and one you should definitely take advantage of at the 60 day mark.  FastPass+ reservations can be made starting at 7am.

Which Disney Dining Plan is right for you?

There are 3 different dining plan options: Disney Quick-Service Dining Plan, Disney Dining Plan and Disney Deluxe Dining Plan.

Let’s start with the basics — The dining plan works with “credits.”  There is no monetary value to a “credit”, but there are different types of credits: snack, quick-service and table-service.

What qualifies as a snack credit?
